Approximately 500 LEDs and acrylic pipes that lead the light are composed three-dimensionally to create an abstract image in the space. Sensing the viewer's movements and environmental sounds, the light pulsates and shimmers. The artist creates "installation art" that includes the relationship between the space, the object, and the viewer. It is a giant statue of the Kannon (Goddess of Mercy) standing in Takasaki City, Gunma, the artist's hometown, which is the original landscape of the sculpture.

Divided by the pandemic, we are forced to communicate with each other through technology. At the same time, however, this has shaken the edges of each other's bodies and unhealthily amplified memories that are not updated. In our abhorrence of the lukewarmness as a living organism, I make statues to serve as a monument in the space between electrical signals.

The statue standing in the darkness is both the Avalokitesvara Bodhisattva, who continues to be a figure even in this extraordinary age, and a portrait of our transformation between the physical and the technological.
